Dr. Melani Bell

Her story

Dr. Melani Bell is a published Registered Nurse with over 20 years of healthcare experience. She began her nursing education with an Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of the District of Columbia, then earned her BSN, an MSN in Healthcare Policy, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

Her practice spans acute care, case management, health information technology, military health, and Federally Qualified Health Centers. She has served as a Visiting Professor for nursing programs, as a Certified Army Nurse Case Manager supporting wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers in transition, and as a Nurse Consultant and Project Officer for the Health Resources & Services Administration, where she managed 13 grantees and oversaw more than $11 million in federal grant funds supporting community health centers.

Today she continues in patient care coordination and utilization review, mentors and precepts doctoral students, and serves on multiple advisory boards.
